During the course Liam spend a jam packed 2 days with Warren our photography principal who taught him all the insider knowledge of how to capture the best shots during a wedding.

Warren also covered composition, posing, lighting, work flow for the day, importance of choosing the right back grounds as well as camera settings, lenses, syncing cameras. backing up images etc…

Day 2 is more focused on the practical side of getting the right shots for the day so this is where Liam was able to get some great shots for his portfolio. These shots ranged from the “bride” getting ready, details shots such as the bouquet, rings, perfume, hair and make up as well as venturing out into the local area to find the right “locations” to get the best full length shots in the surrounding areas. One of the things that Liam was most surprised with is how useful a 5 way reflector is when shooting weddings as it can add extra light when there isn’t much available light or you want to improve the quality of the light.

Alongside the practicality of learning how to capture wedding photos, some insightful business advise was also covered during the training. From pricing and gaining clients to ensuring that couples sign contracts as well as the benefits of creating relationships with other wedding suppliers.

Congratulations to Liam who completed his wedding photography course with us yesterday. This was not just an ordinary wedding course. But it was totally tailored for Liam to help him attain his future business goals to be a vintage wedding photographer.

The look was created with a twist as our model Whitney did not wear a conventional white dress. Her hair boasted some large victory rolls and braided up do, with 1940’s make up that included bright red lips and beauty spot to boot. The vintage inspired look was created by Karen Chesters hair and make up artist who also styled the “bride” by adding an alternative style dress and head dress which was made using some peach lace.
