Beginners Studio Lighting Course.

Taught as one to one or as a group. 

Course overview:
The thought of studio photography can be daunting for some students. This course is an ideal starter course for students who wish to try studio photography to see if this genre is for them. It is for total novices who may wish to go on and do studio portraits. This is an introduction to the studio photography no qualifications are necessary, it is part theory and part practical with group members as photography subjects, as part of the experience taking a picture and how it feels to be a subject.

Modules included:

Learn about various lighting techniques and how to meter flash lights.
Learn how all the different light modifiers work – Octaboxes, soft boxes, beauty dishes, reflectors etc…
Composition and the best practise for capturing the shot.
Posing your subject to get the best angles.
Setting your camera within a studio lighting environment.
How to use a of radio trigger.
The way studio lighting works and what the light modifers do and how to use them.
Typical basic studio lighting setups and how to meter a subject.
Use of different backdrops from paper to fabrics.

Course Requirements:-
Students must have a DSLR or Mirrorless camera and some photography experience.

Method and hours of study:  1 day with  practical assignments.

Certificate awarded on completion.

Each Student has a maximum time of 6 months to complete this course once enrolled.
